FUMC Youth
Youth Group
Our youth group meets most Sunday evenings from 5 to 7pm. We enjoy a yummy meal together prepared by our amazingly supportive parents, have a large group devotion and then break into small groups (by gender and Middle/High school) for a deeper study of God's word. We wrap up our time together team building or playing games!
Sunday School
Our middle and high schoolers meet together for a time of devotion at 10 am on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour.
Camp Don Lee
Our Fall retreat is held at Camp Don Lee each year and provides the perfect atmosphere for our group of young people to bond with one another, their leaders, and of course strengthen their relationship with God.
Pilgrimage
Pilgrimage is a North Carolina Conference sponsored event for youth held in Rocky Mount. We encourage our youth to participate in Pilgrimage by auditioning for the house band, to share their testimonies, read scripture, and more. Regardless of whether we have young people participating, the weekend is always impactful to our youth and the leaders who attend with them.
Mission Projects
Our high schoolers are able to participate in a week-long mission trip each summer. We've joined Habitat for Humanity, Appalachian Service Project, Tri-Cities WorkCamp, completed environmental projects near Charleston, SC and more!
Spring/Summer Trips
Our Spring or Summer trip varies each year, but provides a weekend or week away for our youth to fellowship together, have fun, and unplug from every day life with people who encourage them and lift them up in every aspect of their lives.
