FUMC WIlson has an exciting and dynamic youth program that serves 6th - 12th graders. Our youth are being formed into disciples of Jesus Christ through relationships centered on Christ and loving on another. We Help People to connect to God and one another through Sunday School Classes, Youth Fellowship, Bible Studies, Retreats, Worship, and Missions. All of our youth activities find opportunities to promote service and fellowship in Christ.
This is a gathering each Sunday evening for grades 6-12 from 5:15-7:15p.m. We begin with a felloship meal at 5:15 and programming begins at 6:00p.m. In our daily lives and at all our meetings and events we commit to: Respect God, Respect God's Word, Respect Others, and Respect Yourself Youth Ministry at FUMC Wilson is committed to being a safe place - we have a lot of fun and do some crazy things but never at the expense of these priciples. You never know what will happen at UMYF - but you can count on a positive Christ Centered experience with plenty of opportunities to just hang out with folks who know and care about each other.
During the many changes in our lives it is very important that we dig into God's word and learn how to apply it to our lives. Our middle school class offers the opportunity to grow in our relationship with Christ as well as others. This class led by Hennrianne Allegood, Ben Eagles, Caroline Hunt, Wes & Mandy Berry and meets on the first floor of the Epworth Building.
High School is not always easy. There are many decisions and expectations that this age is faced with. How do we cope with all the pressure? We gather each Sunday and focus on characters in the Bible and their issues and how they survived. This is a time of discussing and getting into God's word together. This class is led by Rob Wheeler and Rick Winders they meet upstairs in the Epworth Building.
