First United methodist youth

FUMC Wilson has an exciting and dynamic youth program that serves 6th - 12th graders. Our youth are being formed into disciples of Jesus Christ through relationships centered on Christ and loving on another. We help people connect to God and one another through youth group, small groups, Sunday School classes, mission trips, retreats and more. All of our youth activities find opportunities to promote service and fellowship in Christ.

Register today!

Registration is open for our annual fall retreat to Camp Don Lee in Arapahoe, NC! We encourage all of our youth (middle and high schoolers) to attend this retreat. Camp Don Lee offers a beautiful setting to have fun with friends, enjoy nature, grow in your faith, and form lasting bonds with your small group members. We will leave on Friday afternoon, September 16, and return Sunday, September 18, around lunch time. The cost of the trip is $75 and can be paid via check or online under our giving tab (please select Special Funds and include "CDL *your child's name*" in the memo line.) We never want cost to prevent your youth from attending our events, so we have scholarships available for anyone who needs assistance. See Tiler with any questions or to get a scholarship!

Sign up today! The deadline to register for the retreat is August 14.

The Youth Ministry Agreement form is now online, and the link can be found

here as well as linked in the CDL Registration form!

Youth Group

This is a gathering each Sunday evening for grades 6-12 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We start out in fellowship with one another over a meal, gather for a devotion together in large group, break into small groups by gender and grade to dig more into God's word and different ways to apply it to our lives, and then come back together for more fellowship and games.

In our daily lives and at all our meetings and events we commit to: Respect God, Respect God's Word, Respect Others, and Respect Yourself. Youth Ministry at FUMC Wilson is committed to being a safe place - we have a lot of fun and do some crazy things but never at the expense of these principles. You never know what will happen at youth group - but you can count on a positive Christ centered experience with plenty of opportunities to just hang out with folks who know and care about each other.

Sunday School

  • Middle/High School (6TH-12TH GRADE)

During the many changes in our lives it is very important that we dig into God's word and learn how to apply it to our lives. Our youth class offers the opportunity to grow in our relationship with Christ as well as others. We gather each Sunday and focus on characters in the Bible, their issues and how they survived. This is a time of discussing and getting into God's word together. Middle and High School classes meet upstairs in Blackburn.
