First United methodist youth

FUMC Wilson has an exciting and dynamic youth program that serves 6th - 12th graders. Our youth are being formed into disciples of Jesus Christ through relationships centered on Christ and loving on another. We help people connect to God and one another through youth group, small groups, Sunday School classes, mission trips, retreats and more. All of our youth activities find opportunities to promote service and fellowship in Christ.

Youth Group

This is a gathering each Sunday evening for grades 6-12 from 5:15-7:15 p.m. We begin with a fellowship meal at 5:15 and programming begins at 6:00. In our daily lives and at all our meetings and events we commit to: Respect God, Respect God's Word, Respect Others, and Respect Yourself. Youth Ministry at FUMC Wilson is committed to being a safe place - we have a lot of fun and do some crazy things but never at the expense of these principles. You never know what will happen at youth group - but you can count on a positive Christ centered experience with plenty of opportunities to just hang out with folks who know and care about each other.

Fall Retreat

Registration is open for the Fall Retreat to Camp Don Lee! This trip is for students in grades 6 - 12. The fall retreat is the perfect opportunity to bond with your youth group members and leaders, and Camp Don Lee offers a beautiful, natural setting to build your faith and grow closer to God.

Sunday School

  • Middle/High School (6TH-12TH GRADE)

During the many changes in our lives it is very important that we dig into God's word and learn how to apply it to our lives. Our youth class offers the opportunity to grow in our relationship with Christ as well as others. We gather each Sunday and focus on characters in the Bible, their issues and how they survived. This is a time of discussing and getting into God's word together. Middle and High School classes meet upstairs in Blackburn.
